Overview

While at Samsung, my primary responsibilities revolved around conducting extensive research, assessments of existing products, performing market research and thus formulating recommendations, strategies, & wireframes. Owing to the constraints of the Non-Disclosure Agreement, articulating project specifics here poses challenges. However, I am available to share comprehensive insights into the projects, in person.

DOMAINS OF WORK

​Impact :

12% rise in user satisfaction scores through A/B testing of wireframes.

Productivity 

The objective of the project was to rethink the experience of productivity within the native mobile experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heuristic evaluation : Internal assessment and evaluation of the existing application. 

​

  • Competitive Analysis : Conducting a detailed analysis of the competitors' experiences, user reviews which formed the foundations for the hypothesis 
     

  • Secondary study : understanding the Indian landscape and hence marking the trends for the same.
     

  • Hypothesis : cumulating the insights and with the help of methods like card sorting and persona mapping, built hypothesis for the projected experiences
     

  • User Interviews :  Gathering qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses, while also expanding on user pain points and requirements. 
     

  • Affinity Mapping : The main aim was to define experience pillars, enabling understanding of essential patterns and themes for insight categorization and organization.
     

  • How Might we : These inquiries shaped key user experience pillars and guided crucial feature identification for the application redesign.
     

  • Wireframing : 8 concepts were developed, guided by the Experience Pillars and mindful of user pain points

Health & Wellness

The project's goal was to improve the mobile experience for health and wellness tracking.

Impact :

The foundation informed the development of interview questions and ultimately facilitated insightful conversations with 160 users

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heuristic evaluation & Internal Assessment : Thorough evaluation of the existing experience for carefully scrutinizing areas for improvement.
     

  • Competitive Analysis : Conducting a detailed analysis of the competitors' experiences, gathered user feedback and sentiments from a wide array of online sources to enrich the UX research findings.
     

  • Secondary study : Analyzing trends and defining comprehensive pillars for redesign.
     

  • Hypothesis : Establishing strategic insights and establishing foundational experience pillars to guide improvement directions,.
     

  • Affinity Mapping : The primary focus of this activity was to define the pillars of experience, facilitating a  comprehension of the patterns and themes essential for categorizing and organizing the insights derived.
     

  • How Might We : These inquiries played a crucial role in shaping the ultimate pillars of user experience while also guiding the identification of specific features crucial for the comprehensive redesign of the entire application.
     

  • Conceptualization & Wireframing : Building concepts for validation through wireframing

Gaming

Project 1

The project aimed to craft an immersive gaming experience

Impact :

Laid the groundwork for a successful launch within the next few months.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ​Trend Mapping: Market study to identify emerging trends in the fitness and gaming domains.
     

  • Competitive Analysis: Benchmarking competitors to assess their levels of immersion, ambient experience, and affordances.
     

  • Card Sorting : To generate insights into user preferences and behaviours.
     

  • Survey Design: Creating a questionnaire to internally evaluate fellow designers and facilitate a workshop for refining the desired storyline of the game. Participating in brainstorming sessions to iteratively refine and finalize the storyline of the game.

Project 2

The objective of the activity was to comprehend the current perception of the game among younger audiences, including their opinions, encountered challenges, and associations with the brand through gameplay.

Impact :

Identified 8 high-impact and 6 targeted improvements for the game.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal assessment : Conducted internal assessment of gameplay to identify blockers or pain points.
     

  • Facilitated focus groups: organized workshops for 90 users to engage with gameplay, followed by quantitative surveys.
     

  • Card sorting- collaborated on , insights generation, and persona mapping.
     

  • Strategizing : Contributed to recommendations for the target market and devised strategies for overall gameplay enhancement.

Content Enhancement

The objective was to build strategies for content enhancement of Mobile Experience 

Impact :

Generated a comprehensive technical wordbank with nearly 150 strings, streamlining future development efforts

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal assessment : Conducted an internal assessment  of the technical vocabulary within the existing mobile experiences. 

  • Competitive Benchmarking :Facilitated competitive benchmarking and evaluated brand archetypes.

  • User Interviews : Assisted in organizing user interviews for focus groups to validate hypotheses and gather insights on user preferences and terminology.

  • Card sorting - Utilized card sorting techniques to redefine the foundations of current brand archetypes.

  • Strategizing : Assisted in developing strategies for overall content enhancement, including the provision of suggested strings for implementation by the tech team.

Artificial

Intelligence

Conducted trend analysis for Artificial Intelligence trends in 2023, including the development of survey materials, and assisted in conducting detailed interviews. Moderated studies and analyzed research insights to translate them into actionable outcomes. This culminated in the creation of a comprehensive report tailored to provide easily digestible information for prominent decision-makers.

Researched technological advancements and sociocultural trends to inform future strategies. Crafted detailed reports integrating research findings into actionable insights, offering valuable perspectives for decision-makers to navigate dynamic environments.
